GST Certificate and Billing Software

In this blog, we shall briefly look into the GST certificate and how to download GST certificate.

Introduction

GST (Goods and Services Tax) was a long-awaited tax reform that replaced multiple taxes on businesses across states and union territories. GST resulted from calls for One Nation, One Tax(regimen), which took over 17 years in the making. GST was introduced in the year 2017. Businesses that have a turnover exceeding Rs.40 lakhs (or annual turnover for goods of over 20 lakhs) are required to register for GST and pay applicable taxes and file appropriate returns. This threshold is raised to Rs.10 lakhs for states in the North East. Your business will be allocated a GSTIN (Goods and Sales Tax Identification Number) that needs to be prominently displayed at the business site. A certificate of registration is also provided by the Government of India that proves the authenticity of your GSTIN.
