No one expected that from 2020 the whole world would be under the current restrictions we are in 2021. We work at home, rarely go out for walks, travel a little, and hardly see our friends and relatives.
The world has changed, and our everyday life has also changed a lot. What are the must need items in 2021? What global trends in the home routine help us to facilitate our adaptation to new conditions?
In this article, you’ll read an opinion based on your own experience and feedback from design experts who have studied the things we need in 2021.
1. Environmentally friendly products
We all control the quality of the air we breathe.
While scientists worldwide develop vaccines and effective medicines against the coronavirus, we can use devices that purify the air from dust particles and various impurities. There are even such air purifiers that kill viruses, fungi and bacteria. In addition, doctors recommend ionizers, ozonizes, and ultraviolet lamps. During the pandemic, such devices have become particularly popular. You can even buy designer multifunctional gadgets that are integrated into your “smart home” and controlled by phone.
2. Hair trimmer
After the end of the quarantine, many first ran to the barbershop. Not everybody wants to end up looking like Tom Hanks from Cast Away. Unfortunately, with the barbershops now closed, it’s time to take matters into your own hands, so I would highly recommend a hair trimmer. This device will not only help you to put your hair at least slightly in order, but it will also help you with trimming your beard (if you have one)! Let’s face it, we know that you can’t turn into a barber overnight, but you can at least try to look a little bit neater when you have to stay at home. Besides, who are you going to see anyway!
3. Manicure and pedicure accessories
During the quarantine, the beauty shops are closed. You can only put your nails in order yourself. It is barely possible without a UV lamp, gel lacquers, brushes, manicure machines and other accessories. Similar to being a barber, you won’t be a nail salon overnight, but these are the things that we now have to take care of in the modern society that we wouldn’t think about previously!
4. Coffee maker
The coffee shops are closed, and a good espresso or latte is now a real luxury. If you do not want to get by with instant options or bother with a Turk, a coffee machine or a modern coffee maker will be very useful. Both require minimal participation in the brewing process and can boast of a high-quality drink that is an order of magnitude tastier than instant.
5. Convenient laptop tray
If you prefer a laptop, think about a special lap tray. Even when working at a desk, there is a pain in the neck since the laptop screen is below eye level, and you have to tilt your head. The stand lifts the laptop and solves this problem. A custom lap tray will allow you to work comfortably on the sofa or even in bed.
6. Tools for minor repairs
Even if you do not make repairs throughout the house, you may still face the need to hammer a nail for a child’s picture, turn on a dripping faucet or fix a loose screw on the cabinet door.
Previously, we could call a specialist to eliminate all minor household problems. Now this burden falls mainly on our shoulders. A screwdriver, a hammer, tape for gaskets, and a set of screwdrivers should undoubtedly be in every house.
7. Some green scenery!
During the quarantine, many people appreciated the importance of plants. Greenery gives rest to the eyes, reminds us of nature and pleases us with fresh air. People are happy to buy pots for seedlings and grow dill and geraniums on the windowsills.
Surround yourself with things that bring enjoyment. After all, the little things have a decisive influence on our mood and well-being.
I hope this article will help you to make your daily life comfortable and pleasant.
